Ulva Island is a predator-free offshore island where native New Zealand birds have a safe environment in which to raise their families, an environment that sadly no longer exists on the mainland. Scott spent 3 months filming the island's avian inhabitants, charting their successes and failures, and capturing behaviour that few people had ever seen.

An NHNZ production, Primeval Paradise was produced for DVD sales and has gone on to television broadcast in a variety of countries around the world.
